هــل تذكرين حقولنا وشقائق النعمان .... زاهية كالمروج الخضراء ؟
وشـمس الصباح تنشر اشعتها .... وصوت العصفور بين ورود الحندقوق
هل تذكرن عندما اختبئنا تحت سنابل القمح ... وحشرة الزيز تتمرجح فوق رأسينا ؟
حينما قلتِ له ايها الفضولي ! .... ما لك تتبحلق بنا بعيونك القبيحة ؟!
قلتِ لي اطرده انني خجلانة ... اخشى ان ينقل خبرنا ويفضحنا في الاسواق !
هل تذكرين حينما استفقنا وتدحرجنا على الارض
لما سمعنا صوت اُناس من بعيد ؟
هل تذكرين لما انتشيتِ على صوت غنائي ... واحلامي تتفتح في اعماق عيونك ؟
هل تذكرن لما صحونا من حلمنا الجميل ... وابتسامة الحب تشرق على محياك ؟
هل تذكرين لما مالت الشمس الى الغروب .... ونعاجك تثغوا وتتفرس بنا ؟
هل تذكرين لما قلت متى نكبر ..... لنبني لنا عشا جميلاً زاهيا ؟
لما كنا صغارا كل أعمالنا كانت في الخفية ....نخشى الناس والغربان والجوارح !
لما كتبنا إسمينا على الحائط بالطباشير.... وسهمين مغروسين في قلبينا !
أمست اغنية لزمن في الماضي البعيد .... لتغنيها من بعدنا العصافير والحمام
هل تذكرين لما قلتُ لك دعينا كالطيور .... لا تخشي شيئا ولا تتضايقي !
تلك الأحلام تلاشت مع أيام طفولتنا .... لتُـمسي ذكرى في بيوتنا المهجورة !
ها قد اصابنا الكِبَرُ وشتتنا الدهرُ .... نبكي ونغني لنطفيء نـيـرانـنـا ..

Romantic dreams from our childhood ..
Do you remember ?
Do you remember our fields and the red flowers,
Bloomy as a green Pastures ? ,
The morning's sun was spreading its rays,
And a sparrow chirping on the melillotus flower,
Do you remember when we hided among the wheat ears?,
And a locust was swinging over us ?,
When you cry:" you curious insect !,
Why are you looking with your ugly eyes !?",
You said:" drive it away I am ashamed ! ,
Else it will expose our secret among the people ",
Do you remember when we rolled on the ground,
When we heard the sound of faraway people ?,
Do you remember when you slumbered as I was singing ,
My dreams were blooming in the depth of your eyes,
Do you remember when we woke up from our dream?,
And the love's smile was glaring over you face?,
Do you remember when the sun was about to set ,
And your sheep were bleating and gazing at us ?,
When you asked me :" when shall we grow up ,
To built us a colorful brilliant nest "?,
When we were children all our deeds where in secret ,
We were afraid of era , crows and hawks,
We wrote our names on the wall with a chalk ,
And two arrows penetrated our hearts ,
They remain there a song of an old times ,
To be sung by doves and sparrows,
Do you remember when I said:" let us as the birds ,
Why are you afraid and annoyed "?,
Our dreams vanished with our childhood ,
To be memories in the deserted houses ,
Now ,we became dispersed aged people ,
Sing and crying to extinguish our fire.
