Thank you for sharing these memories with all of us on this webpage
you warmed my heart with the way you describe the events. Connecting the past to the present. Connecting Kirkuk's old days to the present.

This is excellent statistical information
Would this lead to developing housing programs?

Integrating the children into the public school system?

The above two issues are a major concerns at this time

["There is a good reason they call these ceremonies 'commencement exercises'. Graduation is not the end; it's the beginning." Orrin Hatch

Dear Claudia.   We are happy to say that we are not surprised with your achievement!  Your parents are exemplary in their resiliency and hardworking. Their moral values and unconditional scarifies are paying off. Both your parents are highly educated and highly achieved. So was your grandfather (Amu Matte) who would have been so proud to witness this happy occasion.

Congratulations to you and all of us on this scientific triumph.  Medicine is a calling to help humans remain healthy or achieve better health.   With your degree and continuing education as you complete your residency, you will help hundreds of people. Your help will multiply, as you help one person at a time, you are helping their family, their community and the society.

Make your patients your priority, they will inspire you and make you grow as a person and a doctor. You make all of us very proud!!!

What is a defeat? Nothing but education; nothing but the first steps to something better

To our beloved Sadi Al Malih.  Your sudden death took us back 12 years ago when our father passed away --déjà vu--  the same way, suddenly unannounced, the ugly truth to everyone’s life trajectory, but yours was way too realy

Your life was inspirational, stormy though meaningful. Short yet full of intellectual production, you raised above challenges like very few people can!

To ascend back again and again and remain productive both personally and professionally was your most admiral quality! Your ability to master success despite disappointments and life challenges was certainly unique to you.

We are very sadden by the news of your death, how can an icon and an inspirational person like you go so swiftly not allowing anyone to celebrate you more.
Your daughter Zina needed you; your young son needed you. Ankawa needed you now more than any time before. I was hoping to see you in Ankawa in the near future

Please accept our condolences, your loss feels like losing a family member.

Dear Pisu, it is with great pleasure, we read about your book “Roots of Nomads”  Pius, we are not surprise, we have been waiting for your talent to come to light, although you are very well known to the academics and intellectuals in Europe especially in Spain.  Your recent work “Roots of Nomads” was overdue.  We are sincerely looking forward to reading it in Arabic.

Congratulations on this great work and we know this is only the beginning, your talent and dedication to this work is our delight & pride.

Decades has passed since you left Iraq and Ankawa, but the way you portrait the soul of Ankawa is ever factual & heart warming.   It is through stories in your book that we can keep Ankawa living in the souls and minds of generations to come.  We are all in exile away from our homeland; however we remain more authentic and connect to Ankawa than generations to come.

Pius, we have been hearing your news and hoping to read your books, now was the time for you to shine and bring Ankawa’s history to life again.
You left Iraq and Ankawa when times were ideal, when souls were pure & life were authentic, the golden times of Ankawa are to remain in our minds, but is for books like "Roots of Nomads" that we can keep these golden times printed for our future generations to read.  We have seen the best of Ankawa, and the rest of it is history, you documented it and made entertaining to read.  The mere fact that you have introduced the world to Ankawa's divers and rich history is invaluable.

Congratulations again and keep up the good work.

المنبر الحر / To Mr. Kathem Habinb
« في: 03:14 29/06/2006  »
Mr.  Kathem Habib,    I am writing in response to a disturbing article that you defend your friend George Mansour.  We as the family of  to be remembered Nasir Yousif stand clear on our objections on George’s actions and behaviors and his unethical plagiarism of our father’s works.   We need to be clear on this issue, please DO NOT put our father’s name in reference to George Mansour and use the reference of their brotherhood, and this is unacceptable.   As a family we need no more sorrow and grieve, we have lost a great father and a great teacher,  we are greatly traumatized by the premature death of our father, please be clear on this issue and never again related our father’s name to George Mansour.

As a family we need a closure for our wounds and move on in life, the damage was sever and we will never recover from the pain that George Mansour’s unethical behaviors..

Please be aware that we need closure and stop using our father’s name to defend George, do what ever you like but never mention our father who died with  an aching heart and tearful eyes.
