I really wanted to reply to those who want to be different by inventing a new ethnicity but it is not really the right time or place.

I mean they are more concerned by members from the Chaldean Church celebrating with an Assyrian flag cake than their concern with the attempts of Kurdifying Alqush.

Wow how patriotic is that.

.Grow up guys, and try to educate yourself first before attacking women in their day

Happy Mothers day to the Mothers of Alqush

Well done everyone.
wish you all the best, and hope that this department would have more and more students in the future.

(Where did this come from, Mr Assyrian Pride this guy is using (Metaphor
and exaggeration.

these things are used in Poetic language just in case you do not know, and no one appointed you God to make him (Kafer).

What is a Kurdish Flag doing in Baghdeda, so are they trying to Kurdify Baghdeda too.

So now Baghdedh is a part of what is soo called "Kurdistan"

One day, this farce will come to an end.

8
Why would people need to learn Kurdish?

The reason is obvious, Kurds are trying to Kurdify everything in Iraq, in our towns are the first target.

Again our Christain Nation.
That is really funny.

There is no such a thing of an Christian Nation.

Please check what you write before you write it.

be proud of your name.

Assyrian Chaldean Syriac.

Thank you very much Majed Elia for that nice Article.
and I would like to say to Georges Boutani, not knowing how to read Syriac is something you have to change, not Heros like Majed who write in their Grandfatehrs language.
So Georgeos it is better for you to go and learn the langauge of your grandfathers than asking to Arabize this website.

Congratulations.
and hope that you will have the right support from the Iraqi Government.
This is one of the most important languages in the Middle East, if not the world, and it has to be kept and made an official language beside Arabic at least in the areas where it is spoken.

Dear Neshro and Zakhonay.
I just want to tell you that it is not your fault that you start writing Neo-Aramaic is the right language or Syriac as it is the same language, but what was really strange is the translation mistake done that led to that discussion or argument.
As the translator should not have changed from one word to another i.e. from Aramaic to Syriac, I mean How would he know that they would teach Syriac, Neo-Aramaic and not the Old Aramaic.
I believe that people should be more specific.
any way if they mean the Neo Aramaic Language that our Nation Speaks, you should Either contact the university and ask them to correct that error and of course ask the translator to translate as it is or if he believe there is a mistake try to research and contact them and put the right word which is as our friend Zakhonay 1976 mentioned Neo-Aramaic or Syriac Neo Aramaic. By the way Zakhonay it is Syriac not Syrian.
at the end I would love to mention one important thing in which I would love to ask our people especially the young ones to use this big chance in a good way and go and lean and keep the language of their grandfathers, and would just like to tell you of how lucky you are as we did not have that right in our home country Mesopotamia in some stages of the history, and I hope that we would have it here in Sydney too so that I can go and study, and actually there are serious attempts from some educated people to do that.
Wish you all the best and thank you the University of Detroit for embracing our Language.

David

We are not surprised of such an action.
Alqosh was and will be one of the greatest cities of our nation.
Hope that our people will find security there until they go back to their homes.

sorry another mistake:
instead" instead of insead".
hope that there is no more mistakes, I was so disappointed by some of the answers that made me make such oversights.
regards
and sorry again.

I just want to say.
those who are talking about our two members in the government, to stop talking about them.
during the elections many people used to ask some people to elect our representative and they used to say what they will do to us or they will not win how clever was that and now they are blaming the only two heros and I call them heros cause you all know how it is like to ask for you rights with those people, do you see now what they could have done if they were at least 15 members which is how much members we would have got if we had enough people who loves the nation istead of making fun of it and for the people who have big hopes or asking for our natural right.
stop blaming our politicians and men or religion, and start doing something, if you have something good to say, say it and if not elect your people in the next time they will do something for you and if they do not then at least let them steal as some were saying at least to them is better than to others.
some of your comments are just unbelievable, people are dying and you are making fun of politicians, go and do an action stop blaming people, do somthing instead , if you are living abroad go and talk to others about it organize deomnstrations, go to the government of your new country, etc.
Build instead of saying these unuseful commands.
study, work, and talk about your case to all the world, and one day, our AssyrianChaldeanSyriac nation would come into existance on land again at least we have hope.
very sad for our martyrs, and wish the other in our homeland to be safe.

So happy to see such events that supports the unity of our one nation.
I hope that Ankawa.com will put only such events not the events of some people from certain parties or ethnic groups who attack other parties or ethnic groups becuase some people might think that those parties or those who claims to be representative of a certain group represents the whole community or ethnic group which is not true.
